This is the personal website/blog of Jonathan D. Blundell. I’ve been blogging my thoughts, struggles, joys and random ideas since 2005. This blog is a continual work in progress as I travel my journey and try to figure out what it really means to be a Christ follower.

Much of this blog tends to reflect the daily collision of my life and my faith and the resulting tension. However, the content from day-to-day also reflects what I’m doing from day-to-day, so as a reader you’re somewhat at the mercy of my daily whims.

I may write a post about human-trafficking, a post about commuting in Dallas, a post about Wordpress or web coding, or a post about how I’m feeling that day. So, if you’re interested in just one or two of those categories, feel free to just link directly to those areas of the site.

I hope that you’ll decide to come join me in this journey and join in the conversation as well. My goal is that this blog/website will be a space of grace for all. So pull up a chair, join in and share your story as well.

  • Dear Mr. Blundell,
I wondered if you'd seen the update to "Surviving (and Thriving) on $12,000 a Year." If not, here's the link:

Thanks for the original mention, by the way.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
    Best regards,

    Hey Jonathan,

I saw you had posted my job listing for a media pastor. If you're interested, be sure to email me a resume. It looks like your wife really wants you to :-).

  • Thanks for the comments. I'll have to see what I can do. Sorry about not having and email posted - i get enough spam as it is... try to keep it limited these days ;-)

Kind of bizarre to respond here, but you don't make it easy to send you email. Hopefully you'll see this.

Regarding your comment on this article:

I successfully repaired the headphone connector on my Creative player several times. Eventually I could no longer fix it and switched to a new player.

In my case, what I did was open up the player and get access to the connector, which was a black plastic plug surface mounted to a PCB board. The faulty connection was caused by the connector flexing away from the PCB board and breaking the connections underneath. What I did was to simply superglue the connector back to the PCB board.

    Hopefully this will help!

I wanted to thank you for posting your amazing pictures from your trip to Nigeria in october 2006! I saw them when i typed Nigeria into the FLICKR search engine! I am an MK whoes parnets were missionaries in Nigeria so i kind of grew up there! The picutres of Jos were so cool and brough back many many memories! I love the pictures of the old yellow market and you guys swimming at the old Elm house Pool. I wanted to comment on one of your picutres DSC_0112. The bus that you guys and the kids were driving in. If you look closely on the front you can see the traces of an M and V in red on the front. I think that bus was the same bus that took me and the people from my hostle Mountain View to school every day. I attended Hillcrest School in Jos and Mountain View was the CRC hostle in Jos for that school. It was quite a suprise to see the bus and i had to ask my parents to see if i was dreaming, i was not they think it is to!

Any way thank you sooo much for the great trip down memory lane. You are a great photographer!

    Sincerly Eric
